Account-free use
BookBlob does not require an account. Book IDs in your Blob and dismissed suggestion IDs are stored in your browser and are not synced to an account. When you request personal suggestions, those IDs are sent to the server for that calculation only; they are not retained or cached. You can remove them by clearing your Blob or your browser data.
Hosting and server logs
When you open the website, the hosting infrastructure necessarily processes technical request data such as IP address, time, requested URL, referrer and browser information to deliver and secure the service. Logs are retained only as long as required for security and reliable operation.
Book covers
Cover images may be loaded from Open Library, a service of the Internet Archive. Your browser may therefore send technical request data, including your IP address, to that service.
External links
Retailer, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram pages open only when you select their links. Those providers process data under their own policies. Paid retailer links never influence recommendations.
Cookies and analytics
The current account-free version does not use advertising cookies or hosted analytics. If that changes, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before activation.
Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. Contact us at team@geminit.de.
