Why we built BookBlob.
Marcel has always read widely — especially business, psychology, popular science and science fiction. His wife loves getting lost in immersive fantasy and romantasy. Our shelves may look different, but we kept running into the same problem: finding the next genuinely good book was surprisingly difficult.
Bestseller lists were too broad, search required already knowing what to look for, and conventional feeds turned discovery into endless scrolling. We wanted books to feel connected — through themes, moods, ideas and the surprising associations that make a new read irresistible.
